Colorado has a new state reporting field for free-reduced lunch students this year: S_CO_STU_X.AtRiskStatus. This field must have a value in it If S_CO_STU_X.StateLunchStatus is 01 (Free Lunch Eligible), then S_CO_STU_X.AtRiskStatus must have one of the following values: 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19If S_CO_STU_X.StatusLunchStatus is 02 (Reduced Lunch Eligible), then S_CO_STU_X.AtRiskStatus must have one of the following values: 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26

CO Data Validation: At-Risk Status Field Values Valid Only at CEP SchoolsNew

Colorado is adding a new state reporting field for Free/Reduced Lunch tracking this year: S_CO_STU_X.AtRiskStatus. This field has some code values that should ONLY be used at CEP schools (schools.s_sch_x.cep_school = 1).  Could Level Data create a validation rule that flags an issue for students enrolled at a school where Schools.s_sch_x.cep_school = 0, but the student’s S_CO_STU_X.AtRiskStatus field value is 13, 16, 19, 23, or 26? Using one of these values at a non-CEP school will cause an error in state reporting.

CO Data Validation: Flag Misalignment Between Lunch Status and State Lunch Status FieldsNew

Colorado state reporting in PowerSchool requires a value in the field S_CO_STU_X.StateLunchStatus. The accepted values for S_CO_STU_X.StateLunchStatus are 00 (Not Eligible), 01 (Free Lunch Eligible), and 02 (Reduced Lunch Eligible). However, this field is updated independently of the native LunchStatus field in PowerSchool, with values P (Full Pay), F (Free), and R (Reduced). Could Level Data create a validation rule that flags any student that has a mismatch between the LunchStatus field and the StateLunchStatus field? This is not a hard and fast state reporting rule, but could indicate a problem with data management that needs to be reviewed.  Broadly, the fields should align like this:S_CO_STU_X.StateLunchStatus    =     LunchStatus00 = P01 = F02 = R

CO Data Validation: Residence District for Non-Residence StudentsNew

Colorado requires that STUDENTS.S_CO_STU_X.parent_res_district be filled with a district code value if STUDENTS.S_CO_STU_X.Attend_Info is 04. Could Level Data develop a validation rule that flags students with a blank vlaue in S_CO_STU_X.parent_res_district if S_CO_STU_X.Attend_Info is  04?

Colorado Data Validation: Home-Based Education and Status for FundingNew

Colorado requires that the Home-Based Education flag (STUDENTS.S_CO_STU_X.HOMEBASEDED) be filled if the student’s Public School Finance code (S_CO_STU_X.STATUS_FOR_FUNDING) is 85 (Part-Time, Home-Based Education).  Could Level Data develop a validation rule that confirms that when S_CO_STU_X.HOMEBASEDED is a value of 1, S_CO_STU_X.STATUS_FOR_FUNDING is 85, and vice-versa? If these values are mismatched, the data should be reviewed.

Colorado Data Validation Abbreviated School Day FieldsNew

Colorado has new fields to indicate abbreviated school day status. Could Level Data develop an Enrollment or Attendance rule that validates that if STUDENTS.S_CO_STU_X.abbr_sch_day_status is 1, that STUDENTS.S_CO_STU_X.total_abbr_sch_days cannot be blank or 0?

Colorado Data Validation: Add Core Credits Field Validation for TSDLNew

Good morning,Colorado’s TSDL state report requires any course with an alternative course number beginning with 01, 02, or 03 to have a value in the core credits field (COURSES.S_CO_CRS_X.core_credits_crs). Could we develop a validation rule on the TSDL tab that confirms this?
